Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) promoted a drag queen’s bizarre performance tour on social media Monday, calling the individual “fabulous,” “incredible,” and “genius.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) was left gushing over drag queen Sasha velour on Monday night, calling a Washington, D.C., performance from the "rupaul's Drag Race" alum "incredible" and "amazing."

A video posted by Velour - who describes herself as a "gender-fluid drag queen and visual artist" - shows Ocasio-Cortez heaping praise on the reality show star after the "Smoke and Mirrors" performance.

"I thought it was amazing! It was incredible. It was fabulous," Ocasio-Cortez, 30, exclaimed.

"I'm like that Lady Gaga moment where she's like 'stunning, amazing, impeccable, genius,'" the lawmaker quipped.
