One of President Trump's nominees for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals broke down in tears during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday, as he disputed suggestions that he would not be fair to members of the LGBTQ community.

Lawrence VanDyke was the subject of a scathing letter from the American Bar Association, sent to committee leadership Tuesday night, which alleged that people they interviewed expressed this concern, and that VanDyke himself "would not say affirmatively that he would be fair to any litigant before him, notably members of the LGBTQ community."

But conservatives have adamantly defended the nominee. And when asked about this at Wednesday's hearing, VanDyke strongly disputed the ABA's account.

"I did not say that," VanDyke told Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., tears welling up in his eyes.

"No, I did not say that. I do not believe that. It is a fundamental belief of mine that all people are created in the image of God. They should all be treated with dignity and respect, senator," he added, sobbing.

IMPEACHMENT RESEARCH- HENRY LIVE WEEK 2 DAY 3

12/05/19  IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY WITCH-HUNT UPDATE

The first two witnesses at the public hearing on Wednesday will be William Taylor, the acting ambassador to Ukraine, and George Kent, the deputy assistant secretary of state.
Factually, they are not witnesses at all.  They heard and repeated the equivalent of gossip from a chattering class of diplomats, then made erroneous assumptions that are belied by the only relevant and reliable evidence –a transcript of the Trump-Zelensky conversation.

EXCLUSIVE: Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch, a key witness in House Democrats' impeachment inquiry, communicated via her personal email account with a Democratic congressional staffer concerning a "quite delicate" and "time-sensitive" matter -- just two days after the whistleblower complaint that kickstarted the inquiry was filed, and a month before the complaint became public, emails obtained Thursday by Fox News showed.

Who faces who in a primary? Which Democrat is moderate enough, and therefore, best positioned, to run against that longtime Republican Congressman in a battleground district? Who can the administration nominate for a key cabinet post - who shares the president’s governing philosophies - but can also secure Senate confirmation?

The House approved a resolution establishing the parameters of the impeachment probe last week. Pelosi asserted for weeks adoption of such a resolution wasn’t necessary for an impeachment investigation. But Pelosi saw the possibility of Democrats gaining their own matchup advantage in the impeachment milieu.

First, Pelosi granted significant power to one of her top lieutenants, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif. The Intelligence Committee is running the impeachment process thus far. Both open hearings next week are before the Intelligence panel. Part of the thinking is that Democrats believe they have a matchup advantage on the Intelligence Committee compared to the Republicans. Pelosi also has a lot of confidence in her California colleague.

“The weakest people are on the Intelligence Committee for public hearings,” said one senior House GOP source. The source added that the strongest Republican voices were on the House Oversight and Judiciary Committees.

This is why Republicans are mulling a personnel shift of their own. Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, is the top Republican on the House Oversight Committee. Under the current terms, Jordan’s been in the room for most closed-door depositions. But since he’s not a member of the Intelligence Committee, the Ohio Republican can’t ask questions. Jordan is one of Trump’s most ardent defenders. But, when the hearings go public next week, Jordan and Reps. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., and Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y. - other vocal advocates for Mr. Trump – won’t be on the dais to counterpunch.

                IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

(Mr. WRIGHT asked and was given permission to address the House for 1
minute.)
Mr. WRIGHT. Mr. Speaker, my colleagues on the other side of the aisle
seem to think it is appropriate to conduct an impeachment inquiry
behind closed doors, shutting out the American people.
They have denied Republican Members of Congress the right to fully
participate in the inquiry process but expect them to cast a vote to
impeach a duly elected President of the United States without seeing
all the facts.
In addition to all that, Democrats denied us the right to vote on a
resolution to censure Chairman Schiff for his deception of Americans
day in and day out.
This morning, I joined dozens of my colleagues as we stormed into the
SCIF demanding transparency, shedding light on this corrupt process.
Instead of having a conversation, Chairman Schiff abruptly ended the
deposition, taking the witness with him out of the room.
The Speaker of this House is putting her hatred of the President
above what is best for her constituents. She is harming the entire
Nation by conducting this inquiry in such a manner.
Mr. Speaker, enough is enough. We are better than this; our country
is better than this; and the American people certainly deserve better
than this. They deserve better than an impeachment inquiry in a secret
room based on assertions of a phantom whistleblower.

THREE IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY VOTES:
In December 2017,
  January 2018,
  July 2019 (under Pelosi's
                        leadership),

The House held votes on whether to open an impeachment inquiry. The results weren't even close.

All three votes came up as "privileged resolutions."

Under Congressional rules, members can vote to “table” the resolution or to “proceed”.

To affirmatively table a privileged resolution kills it, meaning the resolution has failed.

Though the first two impeachment’s votes came up during the Republican majority, the votes to reject or table them were indisputably bipartisan.

In December 2017 there were 126 Democrats who joined House Republicans to reject Rep. Al Green's impeachment resolution 364-58.

A month later, a new resolution was introduced with similar results: Again, 121 Democrats voted to table.

Support for impeachment rose from 58 votes in December,2017 to 66 in January 2018,
But that was before Democrats won a majority in 2018 and Nancy Pelosi became Speaker.

With Democrats having won dozens of new seats, Rep. Green tried again just three months ago in July 2019.

His impeachment resolution was one of four introduced in the 116th Congress. This time even more Democrats voted against an inquiry – 137 up from 121 in the previous Congress.

After this third rejection to pursue impeachment, Rep. Lance Gooden, R-Texas, introduced a resolution to dethrone Chairman Nadler from the House Judiciary Committee for pursuing impeachment proceedings after the House had voted explicitly not to move forward with impeachment.

No wonder why Speaker Pelosi is reluctant to hold a fourth vote. It could fail again.

And that’s true despite the fact that she gets the added benefit of a supportive press thoroughly lacking intellectual and professional curiosity.

The Speaker’s quest for impeachment gets the benefit of the daily drip of negative propaganda against President Trump and no accountability or pressure for following the rule of law, fairness, precedent, or respect for the will of “the people’s house.”

Many Republicans, including President Trump, are calling on Speaker Pelosi to hold an impeachment vote. But the truth is – she already has. Until she holds another vote, the previous vote should stand. The House has explicitly voted against pursuing an impeachment inquiry, hence the current proceeding is invalid.
(Letter from POTUS ATTY reply to three committee Chairs - NOT to cooperate, illegitimate Impreachment inquiry).

Do any of us want to live in a country where Congress can unambiguously reject legislation and the Speaker of the House can force it through anyway?

Pelosi claims to have the impeachment votes, but how do we know she has the votes?  Like everything else about this impeachment inquiry, facts and evidence are being carefully hidden.

Just because Speaker Pelosi decrees there is an (impeachment inquiry) doesn't make that inquiry valid.

To the contrary, that motion was brought to the floor of the House and it failed three times.

"Each member of Congress must uphold a high standard of honesty and integrity. When it comes to matters of our national security, that responsibility is even greater," McCarthy said. "Chairman Schiff has fallen short in his duty. From claiming he had evidence of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign to covering up his committee’s relationship with the whistleblower, he has demonstrated a pattern of lying to the American people on matters of intelligence."

Meanwhile, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called Schiff a "patriot" in her own statement.

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, echoed the frustrations of many Republicans over a perceived lack of transparency in the handling of the impeachment inquiry led by House Democrats.

She also expressed concerns that a hyper-partisan impeachment inquiry would “tear apart” the country. “I've long expressed my concern about going through impeachment proceedings in a very, very partisan way because it will only further tear apart an already divided country.”

Franklin Graham: Christians Must “Vote Against the Godless, Socialist Agenda” of the Abortion Industry

 NATIONAL
STEVEN ERTELT   OCT 17, 2019   |   1:04PM    WASHINGTON, DC
Evangelical leader Franklin Graham minced no words in a recent interview when it comes to how Christians should vote. The Christian pastor made it very clear that Christians have a Biblical obligation to vote pro-life.

He said every Christians needs to vote in 2020 against the “godless, socialist agenda” of the abortion industry.
He added that Christians need to defend religious liberty and support “god-fearing judges,” if our nation is to survive.
“Obedience to God’s Word brings blessing,” said Rev. Graham in his commentary for the October issue of Decisionmagazine.  “Disobedience brings chastisement and ultimately eternal punishment in Hell away from the majesty and presence of God.”
“God’s Word encompasses every sector of living, teaching, instructing, correcting and rebuking,” he said. “When a political party speaks about values but endorses abortion and same-sex marriage, they are completely rejecting Scripture that speaks very clearly on these issues.”
“When God speaks, and He does so through Scripture, all of us should listen,” said Rev. Graham, adding that “The Bible says we are knit together by God in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13).”
To help with listening, “religious liberty” must be defended by our leaders, he added, and for that America needs to have “God-fearing judges” in the courts who will defend that liberty.
Some progress has been made in the last few years with federal judges, Supreme Court justices, and restrictions on abortion, said Rev. Graham. However, abortion is still legal, ” and it is a stench in the nostrils of God,” he said.
Graham has always been outspoken against abortion and, in January, called for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to be excommunicated after he signed into law a bill legalizing abortions up to birth.

“This law allows for the murder of unborn children up until the day of their birth,” Graham wrote on Twitter.
“I call on my friend @CardinalDolan to take a moral stand,” he continued. “Whether it moves the governor’s calloused heart or not, it will have a great impact on not only the church in New York, but on the church worldwide. It’s about standing for right over wrong, good over evil.”
He said the law allows the torture of unborn babies in a way that most people would not stand for if it was done to a dog or cat or a convicted criminal.
The law allows unborn babies to be aborted for any reason up to 24 weeks and up to birth for “health” reasons, a broad category that includes basically anything. It redefines a “person” as “a human being who has been born and is alive,” and describes abortion as a “fundamental right.” The law also removes state protections for infants born alive in botched abortions.
Graham, the son of the late Rev. Billy Graham, has become one of the strongest voices for life among evangelical Protestants. He uses his massive platform to raise awareness about unborn babies and the death-driven abortion industry, and frequently calls out religious and political leaders who advocate for the killing of God’s children.

Priest: The blood of the unborn ‘is on your hands’ if you back pro-abortion candidate

Priest: The blood of the unborn ‘is on your hands’ if you back pro-abortion candidate

HOUSTON, Texas, October 11, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) – A Catholic priest has released a clear and concise message spelling out the culpability for Catholics and civic responsibility when it comes to backing pro-abortion candidates in an election.
“The blood of these unborn children is on your hands if you vote for and support an aggressively pro-abortion politician,” states Father Mark Goring, CC, in the video message.

There are a lot of Catholics who do so, the priest explains, something he finds “incomprehensible,” and for him this makes them stupid Catholics.
“These Catholics don’t realize that by voting for an aggressively pro-abortion politican they share the responsibility for the death of these unborn children,” he tells viewers.
The YouTube video was released August 4, before the end of primary season in the current election cycle.

Father Goring is the director of the Catholic Charismatic Center in Houston, TX, a mission of the Companions of the Cross, an Ottawa, Ontario-based Society of Apostolic Life focused on Christ crucified, spiritual life and evangelization. He is also a host for the Canadian Food for Life TV Ministry and has hosted a Bible teaching program for Radio Maria in the U.S.

In underscoring his video message on Catholics’ supporting pro-abortion politicians Father Goring quotes St. Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians, which says that we are God’s temple and His spirit dwells within us, along with citing Jeremiah 1:5, to state, “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you.”
He also points out how the regard for morals in society has led to Catholics succumbing to the culture and going along with supporting abortion.
“Our western world is experiencing a devastating moral decline,” Father Goring states. “One of the things that I find absolutely incomprehensible is the number of Catholics who vote for an aggressively pro-abortion politician.”
The Companions of the Cross priest closes the message with a call for Catholics to fully recognize God’s gift of life and in doing so, to not support abortion in the voting booth.
“As Catholics we need to recognize the dignity of human life and the sacredness of human life,” Father Goring implores viewers. “As a Catholic you cannot vote and support a politician who is promoting abortion. In the name of Jesus you have to vote against pro-abortion politicians.”

Attorney General William Barr blasted "militant secularists" and their attacks on Judeo-Christian values in a blistering speech at Notre Dame Friday, saying "religion has been under increasing attack" over the past five decades.

Attorney General William Barr blasted "militant secularists" and their attacks on Judeo-Christian values in a blistering speech at Notre Dame Friday, saying "religion has been under increasing attack" over the past five decades.
Barr, a devout Catholic, told students and faculty at the university's law school that "the problem is not that religion is being forced on others, the problem is that irreligion is being forced — secular values are being forced on people of faith."
“Among the militant secularists are many so-called progressives,” he said. “But where is the progress? We are told we are living in a post-Christian era, but what has replaced the Judeo-Christian moral system? What is it that can fill the spiritual void in the hearts of the individual person? And what is the system of values that can sustain human social life?”

Barr contends that many of society's ills are caused because of the breakdown of religion in society.
"This is not decay," he said. "This is organized destruction. Secular forces and their allies have marshaled all the forces of mass communication, popular culture, the entertainment industry, and academia, in an unremitting assault on religion and traditional values."
Barr said "ground zero" for the attacks is the schools, pointing to New Jersey's passage of a law requiring public schools to adopt LGBT curriculum.
Barr said the Trump administration "firmly supports" religious freedom. Then he made a promise to those in attendance.
“I can assure you that as long as I am attorney general, the Department of Justice will be at the forefront of this effort, ready to fight for the most cherished of all American liberties: the freedom to live according to our faith,” he concluded.

THE PLAN - To take back America, we need to take back the schools

To take back America, we need to take back the schools

The fact that socialists are openly running for public office in America — that socialists actually hold public office in Congress — should serve as enough wakeup call that the nation’s moral and political compasses are skewed, in dire need of correcting.

That it doesn’t only screams this: America’s public school systems have become utter failures.
So the one thing patriots in this country should throw all their efforts into right now is taking back the schools from the far-leftists who’ve been able to dominate the direction of administration and teaching in recent years.
Look at America’s schools in years past versus years present.
“As recently as 20 years ago, the United States was ranked No. 1 in high school and college education,” Jon Guttman, a research director for the World History Group wrote at History Net. “In 2009, the United States was ranked 18th out of 36 industrialized nations. Over that time, complacency and inefficiency, reflective of lower priorities in education, and inconsistencies among the various school systems contribute to a decline.”

Makers of Masturbation “Education” Video for Children Promote Drag Queens, Gender Confusion

“Kaleb” went on to discuss her “transition,” including hormone therapy and surgery:

Sexualising children with sex education.

Step 2: Now they are comfortable playing with genitals tell them how great it is to masturbate. How can they make it sound wholesome for kids? No one thinks love is unhealthy...

The source of a shocking sex education video that taught young children about masturbation as a form of “self-love” has been uncovered, as well as a stack of other equally disgusting videos.
As we reported earlier this week, a clip from a disturbing video teaching young children all about masturbation sparked outrage when shared on a social media account warning of the dangers of today’s pornographic sexual education programs. At the time, we were unable to find a source for the video, but CBN managed to track one down…
This is nothing but pure indoctrination and grooming masquerading as “sex-positive education.” Don’t think for a second that leftists in the education field aren’t fawning over this sort of garbage and plotting to add it to your children’s school curriculum.

That’s partly to blame.
So’s this: administrative bloat.
No Between 1950 and 2009, the student population of America’s public schools grew by 96%. The growth in teachers during that same time was 252%. But the growth of administrators and other office staffers? That jumped 702%, American Enterprise Institute reported.
“America’s public schools are bloated with bureaucracy and skinny on results,” wrote Benjamin Scafidi at The Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice.
Oh so true.
Whereas one school, one principal used to be the norm, nowadays that same size school employs one principal, multiple assistant principals. numerous assistants to the assistant principals and principals — along with all the accompanying office staff. That doesn’t even get to the guidance department, where ridiculously large numbers of guidance personnel are needed just to keep up with all the new social justice, diversity, tolerance and anti-bullying campaigns that pass as education, occupying school hours that could be better spent — that used to be spent — on math, history, science and the like.
Your tax dollars at work.
But let’s not forget the creation of the biggest bureaucratic bloated float of them all, the Department of Education, where teachers’ rights and union dollars take precedence over students’ achievement and real learning. Where the rights of the parents to control their children’s upbringing and education become subservient to the will of the government to train in the proper propaganda way. Your Jimmy Carter at work.
And this is what the government’s training has brought.

“Arlington Public Schools quietly push transgender policies despite parent opposition,” ran one Washington Examiner headline in May.
Another, from USA Today, from just a few days ago: “My daughter thinks she’s transgender. Her public school undermined my efforts to help her.”
There’s more, much more.
“The Racist Beginnings of Standardized Testing,” the National Education Association posited in a headline from 2018.
“How Black Lives Matter is moving into the schools,” The New York Post reported, just this week.

Florida teacher reportedly banned students from wearing crosses,” The Blaze wrote in 2017, about a lawsuit that had brewed on behalf of alleged persecuted Christian students.

“Public Schools Teaching American Kids that Socialism is Better than Capitalism,” wroteJeremiah Poff on ToddStarnes.com in May.
That one explains today’s political climate — yes?
But really, the transgender fight alone should fuel patriots in general, and Christians in particular, to sit up, stand up and shout out: No. Not in my backyard.

Not in my school is a boy who suddenly decides he’s a girl going to go into my daughter’s locker room and change alongside her.
Not in my school is my daughter going to be accused of hate speech for protesting the intrusion of privacy — the perverted intrusion of privacy.
And when the schools won’t listen?
Throw the bums out. Run for School Board. Take over the local education system and dominate the discussions.

Set the policies, quiet the radical clowns, hush the petulant sue-happy special interests.
Send the crazies back to crazy town.
That right there is the single most effective action Christians, conservatives, constitutionalists, patriots and traditionalists can take right now to right this teetering ship called Public Schools — and, in the long term, to bring back some sense and solid constitutional grounding to our entire political structure.
As Vladimir Lenin reportedly said, it only takes one generation of youth to transform the world.

The left, in America, has had its generation. It’s time to take back and teach right.
